Sidney Crosby the new Wayne Gretsky?

This kid is only 22, and has already won a Stanley Cup and gold medal. Not to mention he scored the winning goal in OT for the gold for Canada. Did I also mention he is the captain of the Penguins? I heard some news reporters on BNC talking about this earlier, and Sidney is a pretty amazing guy. Years down the road, I can see us naming him with the all-time greats like Gretsky and Messier.

There’s a lot of similarities, but the game of hockey has changed a lot since Gretzky played. Sid doesn’t have a bodyguard to smash in faces of opponents who dare try to check him.

I would say that Sid and Alexander Ovechkin are the new Gretzky and Lemieux in terms of their skill sets & how they play the game.
