Our little Queen of Tween Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana is all grown-up and she’s taking more mature roles.  The home grown talent of Disney Channel who make all little girls around to world to sing her song and dress like her is ready to take her career to another step forward.  Miley Cyrus is ready to leave her Hannah Montana persona behind with The Last Song.

Last November, Disney Channel announce the cancellation of Hannah Montana, the series is up for just one last season.  Miley Cyrus is finally saying goodbye to Hannah Montana, the character that made her famous around the world.  But ending Hannah Montana TV series is definitely not the end of Miley’s career.  The girl we love is now becoming a woman.  With that she is also moving her career in the path of a grown woman.

The Last Song is the new beginning for Miley.  The Last Song is the upcoming movie that stars Miley Cyrus under Walt Disney Pictures. The Last Song is the first mature movie of the Queen of Tweens.  The movie is a coming of age drama that tells the story about family, first love, second chances, and the moments in life that lead you back home.  

The story of The Last song was based upon the novel written by the best-selling author Nicholas Sparks of the same title. Nicholas Sparks is the same author who wrote best-selling books “A Walk To Remember” and “The Notebook” that become blockbuster movie as well.

The Last Song marks the beginning of Miley Cryus career as a “serious” actress.  Her performance on this movie might be the make or break in Miley’s career as a mature actress.

Together with Miley Cyrus, starring in the movie is Miley real life boyfriend Liam Hemsworth as Will Blakelee, Bobby Coleman as Jonah Miller, Kelly Preston as Kim Miller, Greg Kinnear as Steve Miller, Nick Lashaway as Marcus, Carly Chaikin as Blaze, Adam Barnett as Teddy among others.

The Last Song is directed by Julie Anne Robinson.  This film is the film directorial debut of Robinson. Julie Anne Robinson is known for her works in TV series like Grey’s Anatomy, Blackpool, Big Love and many others.  

The movie premiere will be held in Los Angeles, California on March 25, 2010. The Last song is schedule for a wide release on March 31, 2010 on regular theaters.  You can also watch The Last Song online.
