Hamilton Anita

LAURELL K HAMILTON? ANITA BLAKE SERIES?
Hey, I recently stole a couple books from my Aunt.
I started reading Blue Moon, Finished that, needed more. read obsidian butterfly. The next book narcissus something? I really want to read the next one. But I have all the books before it? Is it really necessary to read all of the previous books before I read the following ones? Or are they all separate stories with no links?
I’m quite obsessed with the series. And want a legit answer
Oh, you should totally start from the beginning! Anita is such a fantastic character. She really develops and grows and changes so much as the series progresses.
Her relationships (especially with Jean Claude, Asher and Nathaniel) are so complex but yeah – there’s LOTS of sex.
I love vampires but young adult fiction just doesn’t work for me anymore. These books are as real as fantasy books get (if that makes sense!)
The books are in the following order:
1: Guilty Pleasures
2: The Laughing Corpse
3: Circus of the Damned
4: The Lunatic Cafe
5: Bloody Bones
6: The Killing Dance
7: Burnt Offerings
8: Blue Moon
9: Obsidian Butterfly
10: Narcissus in Chains
11: Cerulean Sins
12: Incubus Dreams
13: Micah
14: Danse Macabre
15: The Harlequin
16: Blood Noir
17: Skin Trade
If you are going to get embarrassed by sex scenes or turned off by blood and violence then it’s not the series for you. Otherwise, Anita kicks ass
I’m reading the last book in the series (Skin Trade) and when I’m done I think I’m going to be a little lost… and a bit sad.
